Tony Coles is Senior Partner with Jeffrey Green Russell, one of the leading firms of London lawyers dealing with leisure, gaming and related activities.

Tony Coles has been advising on betting and gaming law since the mid Tony Coles1960's and represents, amongst many other clients, a number of major corporations. As well as being a member of the International Masters of Gaming Law, Tony Coles is a member of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys ("IAGA"), the Society for the Study of Gambling and the European Association for the Study of Gambling. He sits on the Editorial Board of Gaming Law Review. He has contributed the United Kingdom segment to all editions of the highly acclaimed "Internet Gambling Report" which has become the definitive legal resource on Internet Gambling since its first printing in 1997.

DCMS Gamling Report www.culture.gov.uk/pdf/gambling_report_pgs.pdf. The DCMS website also contains a number of helpful (if basic) FAQs and other background information on the industry.

As the Gaming Board also issues Certificates of Consent for bingo and casino operators, authorises "society" and local authority lotteries, and issues licences for gaming machine suppliers and employees in the bingo and casino industries, a number of useful forms for such applications (and information leaflets) can be found online at www.gbgb.org.uk/forms.html.

Also, the local Gaming Board issues guidelines for the casino industry, together with advice to licensing committees, which form a crucial part of the licencing process. These guidelines and advices, together with the regulator's annual report, machine guidelines, licensing fees, FAQs, information on internet gambling in the UK and bingo, together with a raft of other helpful information can all be found on the Gaming Board website.
